June 15: Get a free shrub at Leslieville fest
Councillor Paula Fletcher, in conjunction with the city’s parks, forestry and recreation department, hosts the Leslieville Tree Festival from 12 noon to 4 p.m. on June 15 at Leslie Grove Park, 1158 Queen St. E. at Jones Avenue.
Admission is free for the entire family at the celebration, which includes a 24-foot-high climbing wall, kids crafts, lawn games, face painting, stilt walkers, booths, interactive exhibits and performances by the Toronto All-Star Big Band.
