Nov. 18: Attend presentation on artist George Paginton

Free virtual lecture presented by Toronto Railway Museum

The eighth instalment in the Toronto Railway Museum’s Railway Ties lecture series present “George Paginton: Life and Work” online on Nov. 18 at 8 p.m.

This lecture, led by art appraiser Kelly Juhasz and curator Sharona Adamowicz-Clements, will provide an overview of Paginton’s life and work with a focus on his landscape and railway work.

Inspired by the Canadian landscape and a younger contemporary of the famed Group of Seven, Paginton shared the group’s aspirations and brought him in close proximity to their artistic milieu, including the Studio Building in which some of the members shared working space.

Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with the presenters and Toronto Railway Museum historians in a Q&A session.

Tickets for the event are free, but registration is required.

For more information on  the lecture, visit the museum’s website.
